corn chowder and homemade garlic/cheese biscuits...what could be better on a really cold day than a nice hot bowl of homemade corn chowder and garlic/cheese biscuits...here in sunny California, it is rainy and in the 40's...made dinner and put a fire in the fireplace...yummy...
corn chowder (easy)
melt one cube butter in pan
add 6 tbs flour and whisk in and let cook for a few minutes to take flour taste out...
add 1 box of chicken stock, whisk to get lumps out...
add 2-1/2 cups of milk...
cook till thickened, add as much corn to your taste (I use frozen), I also add one can of cut up carrots, one can of cut up potatoes, and cooked and cut up bacon...
garlic salt and pepper to taste...
see, told ya it was easy and so yummy...
everyone in my family loves it...even the picky princess...
garlic/cheese biscuits
picky princess made these for dinner tonight...
2 cups of Bisquick
2/3 cups of milk
garlic salt to taste
cheddar cheese to taste
mix all ingredients and drop by spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet...
bake at 450 for approx 10 minutes...
so delicious...
